REDFISH
The Redfish is a very versatile species of fish. They can be caught using a wide range of techniques from, artificial lures to dead bait. Most of the fishing I do for Redfish involves live bait. In the late summer months when the big schools of large reds move into the shallows you can on someday's get tired of catching this very strong, powerful fish. Redfish usually range in size from 16 to 30 inches, and feel a lot bigger pulling on 10 pound tackle. Though they can be a bit more of a challenge on a flyrod it is worth the effort when conditions are favorable.  The most popular fly patterns on my boat are whitebait and shrimp imitations. As a year round target Redfish are always a part of the action and one of my favorites.
